ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is inspired by movement, memory, and the feeling certain places leave behind. Growing up around different cultures, landscapes, and ways of living shaped the way I connect to color, texture, and storytelling, and those influences naturally show up in my work.
I’m drawn to surf culture, road trips, open spaces, the coast, the desert, and the small everyday moments that somehow stick with you. Through layered textures, expressive mark making, and intuitive color palettes, I create paintings that feel playful, imperfect, and full of movement.
I love balancing abstraction with recognizable forms so the work feels personal but still open to interpretation. More than capturing an exact moment, I want each piece to hold a feeling of something collected, lived in, nostalgic, and full of life.
